This week we had Rich McCue come into our class for a workshop on Screencastify. He taught me how to add the extension into my toolbar and gave a step-by-step on how to work it. In addition to this, he also showed me how to add and embed the video into my blog (which I have done below). Screencastify is essentially screen recording just like you can do on apple phones and ipads. What makes Screencastify different from this is you can add interactive questions and pop ups in your recording. This could be used when trying to teach student how to use a program to be sure they’re actually paying attention to the steps. Lastly, I see this being super beneficial for teaching parents how to use resources and classroom blogs!
